I have to be honest, the second I saw her jump... I had to look away because I've seen the pictures on the internet and I saw how it ended! My heart couldn't it take it... the second time around, I saw a piece of it through the fingers covering my eyes.
A senior gymnast from Auburn University, Alabama, US, broke both her legs and dislocated both knees in a horror falls this past Friday.
Samantha Cerio was competing in a NCAA gymnastics regional event when this tragic incident happened.
Her team was halfway through the semi-final in Baton Rouge.
Cerio has since revealed Friday was her final night as a gymnast, taking to social media to announce her retirement:
