A mother in Bakersfield California was assaulted at North Beardsley Skate Park while her children watched.
Amber Gordon, the victims sister spoke to 17News' about the incident and it being a wake-up call.
Gordon and her sister took their songs to the skatepark Sunday night when the incident went down.
"My sister had come to the aid of one of the neighbor boys," said Gordon. "He said that he was assaulted by one of the other kids. Hit in the face with a scooter and that they had pulled a knife on him."
When they approached the teenagers at the skate park to ask what happened, things got out of hand.
